Cedars Party
Saturday April 21, 2007 we celebrated Cedar's Birthday. His birthday isn't until the end of the month but they will be back home in Montana by then. We had a beautiful day in the woods. Some were able to fish, ride paddle boats, fly kites, hunt mushrooms, take nature walks and all enjoyed sandwiches and ice cream and cake. I think everyone had a great time and hope to see Cedar and his mother again before his next birthday. Thanks to everyone for helping make it a wonderful day for all.
Johns Mushroom
John found this nice yellow mushroom about 4 foot from the waters edge. The only one we found that day here.

Dairy Tour
Today we had the priveledge of touring the Stone Ridge Dairy located between Mansfield and Bellflower Illinois.
Thanks
We would like to thank Ginny McDade [the blonde] in this picture for arranging this tour for us. Also a big thank you to the owners George and Kara.
All Done
Getting ready for the next round. With over 3000 head to milk a day everything has to run smooth. And it did.
New Calfs
The babys have to grow up somewhere and this is where they will get their start. Females only.
Babys
Here George tells about the birthing barn. These babys will be gone soon as they are all male.
Childrens Showbarn Milkery
The last building to tour was the one for their children to learn the basics of dairy farming. This building was a lot smaller and was equipped for the kids to learn in. This building also housed the show cows.
Sidney
Sidney is on spring break and Staying with us this week. Today was a busy day. Here she is in front of the windmills.
