Shiitake Workshop 2006
Today I [Kate] attended a hands on workshop put on by the forestry department teaching how to grow Shiitake Mushrooms. There seems to be a big demand for these in this country and by doing this you can help manage the forests. And make some money to boot. Very interesting day. I will let you know when my log puts out mushrooms.

The workshop was winding down and we all sat down to eat. They served mushrooms cooked on sight with or sandwiches.

Not into building snowmen Dayton decides to beat the crap out of the snow with a stick. Maybe we should look closer he might have created a unique picture in the snow.

Sidney & Striker
Feb 20,2006 Sidney stayed the night, helped around the house, enjoyed the new puppy and had Grammy cut her long hair off to just above the shoulder.
First plantings
Feb 20, 2006 Granddaughter, Sidney helped Grammy start her first four flats of flowers. The tables are full now and flowers are popping up everywhere. The only vegis started are 2 types of tomatoes. 34 different types of flowers. And I'm not done yet...
